An eye examination with us does not just provide you with a full eye examination, a prescription and eye health check which includes retinal imaging. O'Connor Opticians also provide you with a screening of your eye for many day to day health symptoms like high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and much more - and this is an important set of health symptoms to be continually monitoring.

We also believe that by educating our patients they will not only benefit by maximising their vision, but they will also be aware of how to control or prevent general medical conditions that could cause issues in the future.
Throughout the eye examination and at the end of the eye consultation, you will be informed of the findings of the eye examination. If any medical issues are detected e.g. Glaucoma, Cataracts and Macular Degeneration, these will be highlighted and clearly explained to you. We will discuss a course of action with you and a referral to a specialist eye consultant will be made, if required and only with your informed consent. We have been looking after our patients all across Midleton, Carrigtohill, Castlemartyr, Cloyne, Lisgoold and East Cork for 20 years and we're looking forward to the next 20.
